Yacht cruises

The yachts Jeanneau 42i, Cranchi 41 and Mistral can be hired for cruising in the Black Sea, Sea of Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean Sea. The routes and programme can be planned according to passengers requirements. The ancient and beautiful towns of Nessebar and Sozopol are between six and eight hours away from the yacht marina in Balchik. About 130 nm away (roughly one day of sailing) from Balchik lies Istanbul with the magnificent Bosphorus and the lovely Princes' Islands. A further 120 nm away are the Dardanelles, offering comfortable ports, many historical sites and eateries with typical oriental cuisine. After another 120 nm are the Greek islands North Sporades. Here you can enjoy the stunningly beautiful bays with their tucked away beaches, impressive rocks and of course the local fresh seafood.

Weekly sailing courses for children (in collaboration with yacht club Balchik )

Encourage your children to love the sea and help them to foster perseverance, strength and endurance! The course is suitable for children, who are good swimmers, between the age of 8 and 14 yrs. They are taught on children's yachts, class Optimist in the aquatoria of port Balchik. The duration of the courses is six days, three hours every day.

Day/night fishing - within the allowed period

Gobies and ilariya are an easy catch. Toss them straight on to the grill. Although, if you are willing to put in a little effort, you are likely to need a bit of patience and determination. For the adventurous, a night fishing trip near the village of Tiulenovo or by the White Lagoon, under the splendour of the night sky and by the quite splash of the waves, is worth exploring.
All equipment is supplied, including lamps and grill. Duration is approximately four hours during the night between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. Types of fish - scad, goby, ilariya and platerina. No grill provided for fishing during the day.

A picnic can be organised for the duration of the fishing according to individual requirements.

Discover Scuba Diving - beginners/advanced

You may think that it will be difficult, but actually it will be very easy. You may say "Oh...I am too old for this!", but it is never late to visit the fascinating underwater world for the fi rst time. The amazing abilities of some Black Sea species to mimic and to merge with the surrounding environment, the silver and tender shape of the sea horses, the big schools of tiny fish wrapped around you are only part of the adventure. Hovering weightless bellow the surface, like an astronaut in space, hearing the sound coming out from the breathing regulator will make you feel as a "Star Wars" Jedi. Cool ha..?!

Jeep tours

Track 1. The jeep leaves from Kaliakria Resort towards cape Tshirakman for a panoramic drive on the plateau through the summer house area of Bojurets and a visit of the ancient town of Bisone, followed by a downhill drive to the sea zone in Kavarna and the small river valley Kotshbunar. The trip ends with a short uphill drive to a local rakia brewing barrel, where you can taste 50 gm of beverage before the drive back.

Duration approx. 3/4 hours.
 

Track 2.  A jeep trip to cape Kaliakra through a rough terrain. There is a stop at the mussel farm Dalboka and the ground of Zelenka, followed by the visit of the natural and archeological reserve Kaliakra. The trip ends with a downhill drive to the protected area of Bolata, which has one of the most beautiful beaches on the Bulgarian sea shore, where you can sun bade and swim.

Duration approx. 6/7 hours.
 

Track 3. A ride to the Yailata archeological reserve on the dirt roads along the sea shore to cape Kaliakra. After a short brake by the lovely bay Bolata, the road continues north to Yailata. On the territory of the reserve you can observe the remnants of ancient habitants and their cave dwellings, a Thracian necropolis and an early Byzantine fortress.

Duration approx. 8/9 hours.

Walking trips

Path 1. A walk on the rocky shore in the vicinity of the village Kamen Briag (50 - 60 m above sea level) with a visit of the archeological reserve Yailata and its cave complex from around 5000 B.C. You will be able to see an antique brewery, as well as a number of Sarmatian graves from 3rd century B.C., cut into the rocks. The Sarmatian tribes were of Persian origin, they moved west from Central Asian steppes and into Europe between 5th and 3rd centuries B.C.

Duration of walk approx. four hours. 

Path 2. A walking trip through Kavarna along the sea shore to the mussel farm in the region Dalboka. The terrain is flat, but quite rocky in places. You will cross the natural beaches of the bay and will enter into the water up to your knees at certain places.

Bike tours and bike hire

The bike tour starts in Kavarna and ends in Roussalka. The track is divided in two stages. 25 km on a dirt road and 15 km on gravel. The tour includes a visit to Dalboka, the mussel farm, Kaliakra and Bolata natural reserves and its secluded beaches.

Duration approx. four hours.
Group of 6 - 12 people.

Paint ball

A great outdoor entertainment for the whole family or a group of friends in a picturesque landscape setting. Up to ten people at a time can play in two teams without time restrictions. Equipment includes munitions, paint ball marker with CO2, goggles and a package with 100 balls.
